Obituary

Richard Hartman, 72, of Quinnesec, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. He was born February 3, 1936, in Middletown, Ohio, son of the late Albert and Grace Hartman. Richard moved to Woodruff, Wis. at a young age and graduated from Arbor Vitae/Woodruff High School. He served in the United States Air Force. Richard then moved back to Woodruff where he worked at Van's Bakery. He moved to Quinnesec in 1977. Richard was a member of the American Legion Post No. 50 of Iron Mountain. He is survived by one son, Donald (Christina) Hartman, Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Tereasa (Christopher) Teuteberg, Quinnesec, Tammy (Dan) Higgins, Kim Fields, both of Lower Michigan; one sister, Betty Johnson, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Krystal, Kayla, Anthony, Alex, Chamille, Tiffany, Trinity, Jesse, Jacob, Jackie; two great-grandchildren, Trent, Tylar; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, February 2, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The funeral service will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Debbie Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery, Quinnesec.
