Obituary

Richard J. Doine, 70, of Aurora, Wis., passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. He was born October 11, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wis., son of the late Edward and Margaret (Schilling) Doine. Richard married the former Kathleen Cleary on March 18, 1989, in Arlington Heights, Ill. Richard worked for Pabst Brewing Company as a sales manager before becoming a Deputy Sheriff for the Cook County Sheriff Department, Illinois, where he retired. He was an avid Packers fan and train enthusiast. Richard also loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Illinois where he served as Grand Knight. Richard had a great sense of humor, he loved to tell stories and was always there to help. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Doine; one son, Andrew Doine; one daughter, Patricia Lutzen, both of McHenry, Ill.; four step-children, Dave (Debbie) Finley, Butler, Wis., Mary (Doug) Schock, Michelle (Mike) Forsyth, both of Florence, Tim (Donna) Finley, Richfield, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, Aaron Wachs, Terra Wachs, Scott (Brooke) Luebke, Melissa Luebke, Bryan Luebke, Pamela Schock, John Turba, Jr., Matthew Forsyth, Samantha Forsyth, Jason Finley, Matthew Finley, Billy MacRea, Diana Lutzen, Sabrina Lutzen; one great-grandson, Jack Luebke; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Paddy Cleary; and one step-grandson, Jeremy Forsyth. Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis.
