Raymond E. Pfeiffer, age 94, of Lindstrom, Minn. and formerly of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, December 2, 2005 at Parmly Nursing Home, Chisago City, Minn. He was born December 17, 1910 in Crystal Falls, son of the late Frederick J. and Emma Jane (Davis) Pfeiffer. On January 10, 1932 in Crystal Falls he married Tunie M. Hill of Mastodon township. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2000. Mr. Pfeiffer enjoyed his family, the country living, camping, hunting, fishing, and travel. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He lived in Crystal Falls for 30 years, then in Ironwood for four years, on the family farm in Mastodon township (Crystal Falls) for 51 years, in Pleasant Valley apartments (Crystal Falls) for five years, and in Lindstrom, Minnesota for four years. His career included the Crystal Hotel, underground iron mines in Ironwood, Alpha and Crystal Falls, Frigo cheese factory, his family farm, and the Iron County Road Commission. Ray was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls. Survivors include two sons, Fred (June) Pfeiffer, St. Paul, Minn., David (Vickie) Pfeiffer, DeWitt, Mich.; one daughter, Lenore (Dave) Bleifuss, Lindstrom, Minn.; eight grandchildren, Donna D'Amalfi, Bruce (Cheryl) D'Amalfi, Cherie (Tony) Hoffman, Dale (Julie) Pfeiffer, Brian (Mary) Pfeiffer, Mark (Stephanie) Pfeiffer, Peter (Cindy) Pfeiffer, Holly (Hank) Mowery, and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Tunie Pfeiffer, one brother, Paul Pfeiffer, and one sister, Elaine Franz. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the church. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Michael Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls. Pallbearers included, Bruce D'Amalfi, Dale Pfeiffer, Brian Pfeiffer, Mark Pfeiffer, Peter Pfeiffer, and Tony Hoffman.
