Iron Mountain: Phyllis A. Poupore age 83, formerly of 208 Roseland Street in Kingsford, passed away Sunday May 2, 2004 at Maryhill Manor Nursing home in Niagara, Wisconsin. Phyllis was born on July 9, 1920 in Iron Mountain daughter of the late James and Elida (Carlson) Johnson. Phyllis grew up and attended school in Iron Mountain. She married George Poupore on April 17, 1937 in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death in 1981. They resided most all of their married life in Kingsford. Phyllis lived the past four years at Maryhill Manor in Niagara. She was a life member of the D.A.V. auxiliary of Kingsford. Phyllis enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Phyllis is survived by, two daughters Nancy Charette of Kingsford, and Gail (Glen) Ehlert of Niagara. Two grandchildren, Rodney and John Charette. Two great grandchildren, Carrie Charette (Jeremy Rometti) of Niagara, WI. Craig (Traci) Charette of Kingsford, MI. Three, great great grandchildren, Katelyn, Alyssa and Zachary. Besides her husband and parents, Phyllis is preceded by, two sons, James and Charles. One half brother Ernest G. Erickson and one half sister Inga Ahlard Gatzow. Visitation will be Tuesday May 4, 2004 from 5:30PM until 6:30PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Tuesday 6:30PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Celebrant Robert Fuse will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery in Quinnesec.
