Obituary

Phyllis A. Bucheger, 56, of Quinnesec, Mich. passed away Sunday, February 12, 2006, at her home. She was born December 9, 1949, in Stevens Point, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Hintz) Landowski. On June 20, 1970, she married Matthew Bucheger. Phyllis resided in the Quinnesec area for over 20 years. She worked at International Paper, formerly Champion International, for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. She enjoyed many hobbies, some of which were gardening, scrapbooking, canning, and other activities. She will best be remembered for her generous caring heart, her unselfish manner and her encouraging words. Survivors include a son Kevin (Deana) Bucheger, Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter Lori (David II) Krings, Grand Rapids, Minn.; a brother Nicholas (Vicki) Landowski, Bentonville, Ark.; and a sister Karen (Eugene) Cisewski, Stevens Point, Wis. She was a loving grandmother to Elaina Krings and Skylar Mott and one new grandchild on the way. Visitation will be Thursday, February 16, 2006, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Prayer services will be at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. Fr. Mark McQuesten will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Fancher Cemetery in Amherst, Wis.
