Florence- Freda Olson, 87, of Florence, Wis., passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Freeman

Nursing & Rehabilitation, Iron Mountain, Mich.

While she was born Philomena, she always preferred being called Freda. She was born on April 15, 1935, in Girardville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Dominick and Irene (Thompson) Cuzzilla.

Freda married Larry Olson on February 26, 1960, in Fort Dix, New Jersey. They

moved to Florence in 1970 after Larry retired from the military. Freda was the last living member of her

brothers and sisters. Larry preceded her in death on February 29, 2016.

Survivors include one son, Woodrow Brian (Linda Tuma) Olson, Minneapolis, Minn.; one step-son, Michael (Hui Suk) Olson, Sandy Hook, Virginia; two grandchildren, Alexander (Samantha) Olson, and Sylvia (David) Weidman; and three great-children, Gideon Olson, Wesley Olson and Asher Weidman.

In accordance with Freda's wishes, private family services will be held.
