NORWAY — Phillip J. Eklund, 72, of Norway, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005, at the Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence, Wis. Phillip was born on July 19,1933 in Flint, Michigan. He grew up in the Tawas area. Phillip went on and received his schooling from the Dow Chemical Company. While there he received his degree in both Industrial and Artistic Engineering. He worked for Dow Chemical for a short time, before going to work for Mooney processing. Phillip later started his own glass blowing business which he operated for 10 yrs. He moved to Norway in 2003. Phillip enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, reading and music. He is survived by, his wife Willa, one son John (Michelle) Eklund of Southfield, Michigan, one brother Robert (Charlotte) Eklund of Glennie, three grandchildren, Amanda, Chelleney and Andrew and one great granddaughter Ryan Christine Smith. Private family visitation and services were held. The Interment will be in lower Michigan.
