Florence- Philip (Quickdraw) Read Atwell, 68, of Fence, Wis., passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at his home. He was born July 18, 1951 in Port Washington, Wis. Phil was a starting full back for the Cedarburg Bulldogs, and graduated in 1969. He worked in the woods as a logger most of his life. Phil was a true outdoorsman and one with nature. He enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and especially loved the old-time ways and rocks. Survivors include his son, Tanner (Denise) Atwell; his daughter Jessica (Jason) Preaseau; 4 grandchildren, Colt Atwell, Joshua Preaseau, Jedrick Preaseau and Jaxson Preaseau; and also his brother, Tom Atwell. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by a son Chance Atwell and a brother, Steve Atwell. Burial will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:30 am at the Fence Town Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at 12:30 pm at the Fence Town Hall. Casual outdoor attire is requested.
