Crystal Falls – Peter James Trotochaud, Jr., 67, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau, Wis.
Peter was born on September 27, 1953, in Waukegan, Ill., son of the late Peter and Nancy (Rayburn) Trotochaud, Sr. Peter grew up in Northbrook, Ill., and graduated high school there. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, was a roofer and a bouncer in Illinois and in the late-seventies moved to Ishpeming, Mich., to be a caregiver for his grandmother, and worked for the Marquette Mining Journal. While residing in Ishpeming Peter owned and operated Woody's Bar for over fifteen years. In 2013, he moved to Crystal Falls.
He enjoyed riding his Harley which he loved, muscle cars, watching sports, playing softball and was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by one son Peter (Brooke Ponchaud) Trotochaud, Crystal Falls, Mich.; two brothers Michael (Sally) Trotochaud, Beach Park, Ill., and Brian Wheatley, Wadsworth, Ill.; two sisters Lois Therese Trotochaud, Macomb, Ill., and Jennifer (Kevin) Kaufmann, Deerfield, Ill., one step-sister, Terri Trotochaud, Marquette, Mich.; life-long friend, Scott Kranz, Waukegan, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Peter Sr. and Nancy, Peter was preceded in death by his step-parents, William Wheatley and Theresa Trotochaud; one brother William "Billy" Wheatley and one sister Laura Trotochaud-Andrykowski.
Private family visitation and services will be held.
