Kingsford- Penny Lee Bloom, 72, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Freeman Nursing & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich.

She was born June 26, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Korda) Cholewinski. Penny grew up in Elk Grove, Ill., and graduated from Elk Grove High School.

On November 9, 1974, she was united in marriage to Larry A. Bloom in Canoga Park, Cal. They moved to Iron River, Michigan in November of 2009. Larry preceded Penny in death on October 27, 2021.

Penny enjoyed doing arts and crafts and coloring. She also loved activity time at Freeman’s. Penny was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Tiffany) Bloom of Commerce City, Colorado, and Scott Bloom of Kingsford, Michigan; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Penny was preceded in death by a half-brother, Ron Sichmeller.
