Crystal Falls-Pearl V. McDonald, age 78, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wis.

She was born January 14, 1941, in Hermansville, Mich., daughter of the late Glen and Beatrice Rose (Disatell) Schoen. Pearl grew up and attended school in Hermansville. In 1971 she moved from Sagola, Mich. to Crystal Falls, Mich. Pearl was a glue clamp operator at Foley Martin's in Kingsford for 20 years. She was united in marriage to William "Jim" McDonald. He preceded her in death. Pearl had many hobbies but raising her family was most important to her.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick (Sherry Halverson) Chipman, Florence, Wis. and James (Paula Haney) McDonald, Crystal Falls, Mich.; two daughters, Cheryle Chipman, Alpha, Mich. and Michelle Chipman, California; two brothers, Clyde (Jean) Schoen, Hermansville, Mich. and Lyle Schoen, Hermansville, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Jean Schoen, Hermansville, Mich.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jim, Pearl was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Schoen.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. A memorial service will take place Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Dave Johnson will officiate.
