Obituary

Pauline G. Alquist, age 69, of Kingsford, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007, following a brief illness, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford. She was born February 16, 1938, in Wabeno, Wis., daughter of Norma (Gooding) Greer, Kingsford and the late Henry Porte. Pauline moved to the Kingsford are in 1952, where she has resided since. Survivors, besides her mother, include four sons, Timothy (Debra) Alquist, Iron Mountain, William (Antonella) Alquist, Lonefree, Colo., David (Carolyn) Alquist, Westminster, Colo., Robert (Melody Anderson) Alquist, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Betty Ann Aversano, Iron Mountain; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judith White, N.M., Harrietta Porte, Iron Mountain; and she also leaves her former husband, John (Patricia) Alquist, Quinnesec. Besides her father, Pauline was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Porte and one sister, Betty Porte. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2007, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery, Quinnesec, Mich.
