Obituary

Paul John Webb, 44, of Iron Mountain, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. He was born on March 12, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wis., son of Peter Webb, Aurora, and Nancy Webb, Iron Mountain, and big brother of Jeff, Brian, and Steven. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1985, and was a member of the 1985 Iron Mountain High School state semi-finalist football team. Paul was a retired veteran of the United States Navy, being honorably discharged after twenty-three years of service at which time he moved back to Iron Mountain. He was currently working as an electrical inspector at Systems Control. He enjoyed mountain biking, cross country skiing, and taking his wife and sometimes nieces and nephews to the movies. Paul was an avid Lions fan and made the trek to Detroit every Thanksgiving to watch the game with his family. He loved the Iron Mountain area and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Brandi; two sons, Jacob Webb, California and Chace Aguirre, at home; his father, Peter (Dottie Saler) Webb, Aurora; his mother, Nancy Webb, Iron Mountain; three brothers, Jeff (Kim) Webb, Iron Mountain, Brian (Trish) Webb, Dallas, Texas, Steven (Stacey ) Webb, Royal Oak, Mich.; father-in-law, Don (Sandy) Alexander, Bakersfield, Calif.; mother-in-law, Laura Alexander, Bakersfield; three uncles, Jim (Donna) Webb, Houston, Texas, John (Maryann) Webb, Apple Valley, Minn., Jim (Lelia) Canavera, Quinnesec; two aunts, Julie (Bruce) Turrie, Niagara, Joan (Mike) Blankenhiem, Shawano, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Katherine Webb; maternal grandparents, Signe and Jene Canavera; and his great-grandmother, Anna Webb. The visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain. The American Legion Uren-Cooper Post No. 50 along with the VFW Post No. 3674 of Iron Mountain will accord full military honors at graveside. Pallbearers will be Paul's brothers and cousins.
