Obituary

Armstrong Creek – Paul R. Kowalkowski, 58, of Armstrong Creek, WI, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Iron Mountain, MI.

He was born on October 7, 1967, in Laona, WI, to the late Adolph and Joyce (Wall) Kowalkowski.

Paul was a graduate of Goodman High School, class of 1986. After graduation, he worked a number of years for the Goodman Sawmill, then ventured deeper into the logging industry.

He married Terra Squires on December 19, 1997, in Niagara, WI.

He along with his brothers formed TPJ Brothers Logging Company and he continued with them for a number of years. He had been working for Iron Mountain Acoustics since 2017.

Paul enjoyed time with his family, making firewood, mowing grass, making maple syrup, and other activities with his children and granddaughter. He had a way of making people feel welcome and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He never missed an opportunity to share a story, tell a joke, or brighten someone’s day.

Always remember, today, not tomorrow. “Nostrovia!”

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Terra Kowalkowski; sons, Mark (Donna) Kowalkowski, and Devin (McKenna Johnson) Kowalkowski; daughter, Grace (Jayden Sydmark) Kowalkowski; brothers, Tim Kowalkowski, and James Kowalkowski; sisters, Deb (Jeff) Hayward, Gayle Kowalkowski, and Carolyn (Mike) Lemanski; and granddaughter, Rory Kowalkowski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Adolph Kowalkowski, Jr; and grandparents, Frank and Anne Kowalkowski.

Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 10, 2026, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Armstrong Creek, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday at the church with Rev. Fr. Joseph Soja officiating. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Armstrong Creek, WI.
