Paul J. Henrichs, 79, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain.
He was born September 18, 1930, in Medford, Wis., son of the late Aloysius and Louise (Steiner) Henrichs.
Paul was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1949. He entered the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. Paul returned home and married Florence Noeske on October 23, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 18, 1990.
Paul proudly served on the Milwaukee Fire Department for several years. In 1972, he moved his wife and children north to Spread Eagle, Wis. and established the Eagle's Nest Supper Club. Paul and his family enjoyed providing hospitality to their friends and customers for over 20 years.
He was active in the Florence, Wis. community for many years. Paul served on the school board of Florence Public Schools. He served on the building committee at St Mary's Catholic Church and he lectured at mass. Paul enjoyed having an annual Steer Roast to raise money for the local fire department and rescue squad and other charitable organizations.
Paul's faith in God kept him strong throughout his life and especially during his illness. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, playing golf, a rousing game of "sheepshead" or a competitive round or two, or ten, of cribbage.
Paul is lovingly survived by his children, Mary (Jon) Pier, Muskego, Cindy (Lou) Ribish, Elm Grove, Chuck (Sheila) Henrichs, Niagara, Laura (Fred) Harvath, Green Bay, Richard (Donna) Henrichs, Niagara, Sue (Bill) Schmitt, Delafield, John (Susie) Henrichs, Niagara, Marge (Butch) Harvath, Niagara; 19 grandchildren; one brother, Tom Henrichs; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen and Margaret; and four brothers, Tony, Bob, Leo and Don.
In leiu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center's "Hospice" program.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. American Legion Cretton-Tutas Post No. 136 will accord military rites immediately following the Mass Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
