Patricia R. Wescher, 75, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Monday, April 23, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services, Kingsford, Mich. She was born in Norway, Mich. on May 27, 1931, daughter of the late Stephen and Emma (Brown) Canavera. She was a graduate of Niagara High School. Patricia married Gerald Wescher on June 10, 1950, in Niagara. They lived in Menominee, Wis., before moving back to Niagara in 1963. Patricia was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara Women's Club, and St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women. She was the secretary of Marinette County Snowmobile Club, treasurer and president of the Antique Car Club, taught CCD, and was a den mother for Cub Scouts. Patricia loved traveling the United States and Europe. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; two sons, Stephen (Robin) Wescher, Scottsbluff, Nebr., Michael (Cheryl) Wescher, Caspian, Mich.; one daughter, Michelle (Rick) Downs, Amberg, Wis.; one brother, Crescent Canavera, Niagara; two sisters, Aunnie (Al) Haydens, Roseville, Mich., Joyce Pistelka, Alaska; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Patricia was prededed in death by one brother and four sisters. Visitation will be Friday, April 27, 2007, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, 11:00 AM at the church. Fr. Larry Canavera will officiate.
