Niagara: Owen Alband, age 77, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Monday, September 19, 2005, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara. He was born June 27, 1928, in Mt. Clemens, Mich., son of the late William G. Alband and Elsie C. McCumber. Owen grew up in Mt. Clemens. He joined the US Army and served with the First Calvary Unit during the Korean War. He married Nellie in Lower Michigan and she preceded him in death in 1983. They resided in Eagle Harbor Michigan from 1969-1985, moving to Niagara in 1986 where he resided ever since. Some of his hobbies were hunting and fishing. Survivors include a son, William Alband, Allouez, Mich.; one sister Betty Ann Wallace, New Baltimore, Mich.; and one nephew Mark Wallace, Lower Mich.
