Olive B. Bourdeau, 96, of Green Bay, Wis., formerly of Florence, Wis., passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Woodside Nursing Home, Green Bay, Wis.
She was born July 18, 1911, in Florence, daughter of the late Emanuel and Souffronia (Rochon) McCraw. Olive married Napoleon Bourdeau on February 1, 1930, in Florence. He preceded her in death in 1975. They lived in Aurora, Wis. before moving to Ohio. In 1945, Olive along with her husband moved to Iron Mountain, Mich. until 1950, when they moved to Green Bay.
Olive worked at St. Vincent Hospital for 10 years. She was an active member of St. Willebrord Catholic Church, Green Bay. Olive enjoyed many hobbies including, sewing, gardening, knitting, and square dancing.
She is survived by two sons, Napoleon Bourdeau, Lodi, Wis., Robert Bourdeau, Green Bay; one daughter, Connie Rix, Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Mary Rix, Jeanne Heller, Jesse Bourdeau; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Napoleon, Olive was preceded in death by five brothers, Bernard, Lawrence, Howard, Paul and Ernest McCraw; three sisters, Phyllis Tennerman, Veronica Beauchamp, Margaret Wood; and two grandchildren, Paul Bourdeau, Jerry Rix.
The Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, is serving the family.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2008, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday at the church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis.
A memorial will be established in Olive's memory.
