Olga "Auggie" Bugalski, 91, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Maryhill Manor, Niagara.
She was born on August 1, 1919, in Boston, Mass., daughter of the late Julius and Veronica Szumeda. Auggie married Joseph Bugalski, Jr., on May 12, 1943, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Wausaukee, Wis. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2008. Shortly after being married, Auggie and Joe moved to Pembine, Wis., where they resided until 1945, at which time they moved to Niagara, and operated a farm together until 1959.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. Auggie enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and especially spending time with her family.
Auggie is survived by one daughter, Lillian Olson, Niagara; two sisters, Jean Russ Fond du Lac, Wis., Flo Horn, Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren, Don (Heidi) Olson, Niagara, Dan (Peggy) Olson, Knoxville, Tenn., Mike Olson, Westminster, Colo., Mary (Hank) Ford, Canon City, Colo.; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Auggie was preceded by her son-in-law, Bill Olson; one brother, Steve Szumeda; and one sister, Mickey Moore.
Private family visitation and services will be held. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara.
