Norman P. Neuens Jr., 47, of Florence, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born October 6, 1966, in Statton, Va., son of Butch Neuens and Lorraine Arletta Salczenko Neuens.
Norman grew up in Aurora, Wis., and graduated from Florence High School, Class of 1985. He worked for Butch Neuens Landscaping, Stevenson Co-op and Grede Foundry. Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, bow hunting, the Green Bay Packers (he was Aaron Rodgers' number one fan) and also raising beef cows on his small hobby farm. He was a loving and devoted father to his children; they were the love of his life.
Norman is survived by his father, Butch Neuens, Iron Mountain; one son, Tyler (Chelsea) Neuens, Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Shelby (Landen) DeGrave, Aurora, Wis., and Samantha Neuens, Homestead, Wis.; seven brothers, Fred (Donnette) Salczenko, Homestead, Paul (Ayse) Salczenko, Panama City, Fla., Bob (Lisa) Salczenko, Iron Mountain, Jeff (Cindy) Salczenko, Houston, Tex., Scott (Geneva) Neuens, Aurora, William "Bill" Neuens, Kingsford and Simon Neuens, Iron Mountain; three sisters, Gloria (Paul) Cameron, Appleton, Wis., Dawn (Andy) Lassila, Kingsford, and Sophia Neuens, Iron Mountain; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lorraine Arletta Salczenko Neuens and his nephew Zachariah Graham Cameron.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 31, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Karl Utzat will be the celebrant. A private graveside service will follow at Fence Cemetery, Fence, Wis. Norman's brothers will serve as pallbearers.
A memorial will be established in his memory.
