Nora L. Nylund, 72, of Niagara, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at her home. She was born on October 27, 1938, in Ironwood, Mich., daughter of the late Arthur and Tiami (Westerback) Nylund. Nora grew up in Erwin Township, outside of Ironwood. She moved to Norway where she graduated from Norway High School. Nora married David Morin in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1974. She obtained her LPN license from Northern Michigan University and her RN degree in Kalamazoo, Mich. Nora worked at the Dickinson County hospitals, Oconto Hospital, and Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers, Mich., prior to moving to Green Valley, Ariz., where she retired as Director of Nursing from Santa Rita Care Center in 2005. She returned to Niagara in 2007. Nora is survived by four sons, Dave (Sheryl Norman) Morin, Niagara, Dean Morin, Rock Hill, S.C., Daniel Morin, Amberg, Wis., Darren Morin, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Debbie Nylund, Santa Clarita, Calif.; one brother, Daniel (Colleen) Nylund, Iron Mountain; four sisters, Mae (Lee) Lindstrom, Chicagon Lake, Mich., Myrna Magni, Pence, Wis., Jean Nylund, Green Valley, Ariz., Lola Nylund, Kingsford; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Nora was preceded in death by one brother, John Nylund. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate. Private burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway.
