Nora B. Bortolini, 66, Crystal Falls, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette. She was born, February 11, 1942, in Townley, Alabama, daughter of the late Oliver and Minnie (Campbell) Smith. On June 1, 1963, in Waukegan, Ill., she married Ray Bortolini. He survives. Nora was the co/owner and operator of Raven's Nest Restaurant and Tavern, Crystal Falls. She was active in the Iron County Chamber of Commerce, enjoyed camping in the U.P. area and was an avid bowler. Survivors include, her loving family: husband, Raymond Bortolini, daughter, Theresa Lato; son, Larry (Rebecca) Bortolini; seven grandchildren, all of Crystal Falls; five sisters, Magaline Gutrey, Martha Courtney, Rebecca Mebers, Janet Ernest, Nadine Gurtey; and one brother, A.R. Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved infant son, Ray Alex Bortolini; siblings, Samuel Smith, Arcenia Hershey, Willie Nesmith, and Paulie Dobson.
