Obituary

Nina Giovanna Wloszczynski Zoppetti, age 90, of Florence, Wis. died Wednesday January 4, 2006 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, Mich. She was born September 3, 1915 in Stambaugh, Mich., daughter of the late Dominic and Annie (Mahato) Caliaro. In 1936 she married Emil Wloszczynski. He preceded her in death. In 1954 she married George Zoppetti. He preceded her in death in 1972. Nina was raised and spent her early years in Iron County and lived on farms in Tipler and Fern, Wisconsin. She was a domestic, did babysitting, enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing and animals. She was a Jehovah Witness. Survivors include four daughters, Sally Fugate, North Prairie, Wis., Rita (Roger) Krans, Commonwealth, Wis., Alice (Jack) Johnson, Fence, Wis., Venisa Leslie, Aurora, Wis.; four sons, Ronald (Patricia) Wloszczynski and Robert (Marty) Wloszczynski, both of Crystal Falls, Mich., Patrick (Joanne) Wloszczynski and John (Illene) Zoppetti, both of Fern, Wis.; 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and one sister, Olga Tipps, Green Bay, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three sisters, Margaret Deneys, Elvera Caliaro, Mary Maki, and two brothers, Mario Caliaro, and Tony Caliaro. Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2006 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, Wis. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Speaker Ralph Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot at Caspian Cemetery, Stambaugh, Mich.
