Crystal Falls: Nilo Lahikainen, age 87, of Kingsford, MI formerly of Crystal Falls, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI. Nilo was born April 17, 1917, in Crystal Falls, MI, son of the late Asaria and Heta (Seppa) Lahikainen. He attended and graduated from Crystal Falls High School. He was a woods worker and enjoyed reading. Survivors include one brother Robert of Gwinn, MI, one sister Lillian Poulos of Crystal Falls, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Oliver Lahikainen and two sisters Aili McCanna and Marian McWilliams. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls.
