Florence- Milton H. LaGest, 83, longtime resident of Fence, Wis., passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wis. He was born February 19, 1937 in Norway, Mich., son of the late Hobert "Doc" and Edna LaGest. Milton married Marge Williams and she preceded him in death. He then married Evelyn Williams on January 25, 1974 in Green Bay, Wis. and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2011. After being married they resided in Niagara Township before moving to Fence in 1990. Milton was a hard worker and worked as a logger most all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include three sons, Harvey LaGest, Goodman, Wis., Henry LaGest, Beecher, Wis., and Robert (Tina) LaGest, Oneida, Wis.; one step-son, Henry Skenandore, Green Bay, Wis.; one sister, Maryann (Dale) VanGinkel, Niagara, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Jonathan LaGest, Nickolas Nordlund, Zach Nordlund, Jonathan John, Robert LaGest Jr., Twilight LaGest, Dino LaGest and Miley Skenandore; three great grandchildren, Emma Marie Rae John, Milah John and Sophia Hill; and one brother-in-law, Paul Nordlund, Aurora, Colo. In addition to his parents and both wives, Milton was preceded in death by one daughter, Mitzi Nordlund. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Chapman Cemetery, Niagara, Wis.
