Florence: Mike J. Henry, age 85, of Florence, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI. Mike was born August 19, 1918, in Mellen, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Theresa (Lucas) Henry. He was in the Army during World War II from 1942 t0 1945. In 1945, he married Frances Podnar, in Mellen, WI, and she preceded him in death on November 17, 1973. Survivors include one daughter Carol Ann (John) Schmidt of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and one granddaughter Nicole M. Schmidt of Brookfield, Wisconsin. One sister Irene (Joe) Pazdernik of Mellen, Wisconsin. Visitation will be Friday, March 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence, Wisconsin. The V.F.W. of Florence will conduct a Veterans Memorial service Friday 7:15PM at the funeral home. Prayers will be at 7:30p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:30AM at the funeral home, with the Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday 11:00A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Florence, Wisconsin. Fr. Paul Koszarek will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Commonwealth, WI.
