Obituary

Michaela Regine Cobeen (Stahn), age 45, of Niagara, Wisconsin, was called to her maker on Monday, October 16, 2006, after her battle with cancer. She was born August 24, 1961, in Berlin, Germany, daughter of Marianne Renata Gisela Stahn and Ulrich Litzba. Her mother preceded her in death in 1992. Michaela was born and raised in West Germany. She was educated at Saint Diedurig in West Berlin, Germany. She met an American Soldier named Scott Cobeen whom she wed in 1982. They later moved to the United States in 1984. This is the place were Michaela called home. They were stationed in many parts of the United States, Killian, Texas, and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This is where Michaela had her children, Joshua born in 1987, and then Christopher in 1989. From there they moved to Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After her divorce, Michelle moved to Niagara in 1999. She worked as a manager for Dunham Express. She met and made many friends there whom she greatly cared for. Michelle's greatest joy in her life was her sons, Joshua and Christopher. There was nothing in this world that meant more to her. Nothing can compare to this mother's love for her sons. It was her main reason for getting up in the morning. She had a great appreciation for old collectible vehicles. Her favorite pride and joy was her 1976 pink Mustang, which she spent many years trying to restore to its original state. Michelle also had a great love for creatures big or small. Two of her favorite companions were Buddy, (wolf-husky breed), and her cat, Anna. She also loved her flower gardens, which she is now caring for. Michelle was the greatest friend you could have ever known. She was always there for you for whatever you needed, from a caring heart to a listening ear. Survivors include her sons, Joshua and Christopher Cobeen of Niagara, Wis., her father, Ulrich Litzba, of Switzerland, mother and father-in-law, Darrell and Kathryn Cobeen; sister and brother-in-law Melanie Cedena Stahn and Gaby Gomez Ibanez of Madrid, Spain; nephews, Cristian and Adrian, longtime friends Todd and Toni Garvaglia, and her many other friends and relatives. Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2006, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
