Michael Szram, age 80, of Crystal Falls, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at the Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River. He was born August 27, 1926, in Poland son of the late Adolph and Anna (Stnszewska) Schramm. He married Leona Korolewicz and she survives. Michael and his wife, Leona, have lived in Crystal Falls for 18 years after coming here from the Chicago area. He was a retired carpenter and worked for Gardner's Construction. Mike was a member of the Carpenters Local Union No. 62 and was awarded a Life Membership in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Survivors include his wife Leona Szram, Crystal Falls; two sons, Alex (Barbara) Szram, Lamont, Ill., Jerry Szram, Crystal Falls; two daughters, Sophie (Zbignef) Kus, St. Charles, Ill., Regina (Richard) Klaus, Crystal Falls; one brother, Peter Schramm, Germany; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2006, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Dino Silvestrini will officiate. Interment will be private.
