Fence-Michael J. Nichols, age 55, of Fence, Wis., passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 6, 1963, in Fence, son of the late Laurence and Beatrice (Euers) Nichols. Mike was a lifelong resident of Fence. He was employed by Khoury's Unfinished Furniture for 16 years. Mike owned and operated Odd Jobs Group for ten years and later Northwoods Contractors for a couple of years.

He enjoyed watching football, entering football pools, all sorts of hunting, and he will be missed by his many family and friends.

Survivors include longtime companion Tammy Kappell; her children, Jeremy and Melissa Becker, Martha, Jessica, Tony and Samantha Kappell; siblings, JoAnne (Pat) Wloszczynski, Rosemary (Dan) Malone, Bea (Lou) Kozlowski, Ethel (Elton) Borns, Jim (Cindy) Nichols, Doris Ann Huotari, Kenny (Carol) Nichols, and Alice (Stan) Maruszcak; many nieces and nephews and good friend, Donny Vanrizan.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Nichols and Debra McCoy.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Fence Town Hall, Fence, Wis. A celebration lunch and reception will be held Saturday, 12 noon, at the Town Hall. Burial will be in Fence Cemetery.
