Crystal Falls – Michael D. Kukura, 77, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at U P Health System, Marquette.

Michael was born on August 15, 1945, in Crystal Falls, Mich., to the late Jozef and Marion (Wilgereen) Kukura. He grew up in Crystal Falls and was a graduate of Crystal Falls High School, class of 1963. After graduation, Michael served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge on October 3, 1968.

Mickey enjoyed gardening, playing cards, gambling, and spending time with children, friends, and family.

He is survived by his sons, John Kukura and Doug Kukura; daughter, Jodi Kukura; brother, John (Peggy) Kukura; sisters, Beverly (Jerry) Gosh and Margaret Reinko; grandchildren, Aaron (Autumn) Kukura, Courtney Glines, Kaci Seever, Sophia Kukura, and Kelvyn Kizaur; and great-grandchildren, Jeveah, Meadow, Keilyn, Harleigh, and Ashton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Heidi Kukura; and his sister and brother-in-law, Francis and Don Tamminen.

A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at VFW Post 2891 in Crystal Falls, Mich.
