Crystal Falls:
Michael J. Biswabic, age 89, of Crystal Falls, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Michigan.
He was born August 17, 1914, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Kunic)
Biswabic. Michael was a seaman in the US Navy on the USS Prometheus during World War II. On February 22, 1941, he married Irene Gill and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2003. Michael was employed by Iron County Highway Commission. He loved to fish, was a great gardener and enjoyed picking strawberries.
Michael is survived by one brother Walter in Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife Irene, Michael was preceded in death by two brothers; Frank, John, and four sisters Katherine Robichaud, Anna Worzala, Carol Hohmann, and Helen Farley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 6, 2004, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home in Crystal Falls, Michigan. Internment will be in the spring with graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, for both Michael and his sister Helen Farley who preceded him in death on March 17, 2004.
