Melody E. Atkielski, 58, of Pembine, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at her home. She was born March 25, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Elverda (Lohr) Roy. Melody grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Hamilton High School, Class of 1971. She attended City College South School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee where she received her cosmetology degree. Melody married Thomas Atkielski on June 10, 1972, in Milwaukee. After being married, Melody traveled to many places along with her husband who was stationed in the United States Air Force. After her husband was discharged from the service, they resided in Jackson, Wis., Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Waukesha, Wis., before settling in Pembine in 2003. She enjoyed cooking and arts and crafts. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Melody is survived by her husband, Thomas, Pembine; one son, Brandon, at home; one sister, Pamela A. Roy, Waukesha; one nephew, one niece, and many cousins. Private family visitation and services were held. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wis.
