IRON MOUNTAIN — Melanie M. Munn, 13, of Channing died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Sagola Township. Melanie was born May 17, 1989, in Iron Mountain, daughter of Steven and Rebecca Thibault Munn. She was attending eighth grade at North Dickinson School. She enjoyed attending all the sporting events with her friends and listening to her favorite music. Melanie loved helping others and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her father, Steven of Norway; her mother, Rebecca of Channing; her paternal grandparents, Charles Burcham and Lorraine Munn of Channing; her paternal great-grandma, Quinee Smalley of ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford; her maternal grandparents, Richard and Rosemary Thibault of Channing; her maternal great-grandma, Idell Mosier of Missouri; two stepbrothers, Anthony Bozile and Ronald Munn; a stepsister, Samantha Munn, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Channing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to the family. The Jacobs Funeral Home is serving the family.
