-Melanie A. Gasparas, 41, of Florence, Wis., passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 31, 1975, in Cicero, Ill., daughter of Frank Schultz and Denise (Smat) Highley. Melanie graduated from Morton East High School in Cicero, Ill., Class of 1994. On July 31, 1999, she was united in marriage to Nicolas Gasparas in Berwyn, Ill. Melanie enjoyed the Florence Pool League, feeding the birds, and family time. She enjoyed bowling with the boys and attending events with her children. Survivors include her loving husband of almost 18 years, Nick; two sons, Justin and Charlie Gasparas; parents, Frank (Valerie) Schultz, Indiana and Denise Highley, Cicero, Ill.; one brother, Michael Schultz, Cicero, Ill.; and her maternal grandmother, Virginia Smat, Cicero, Ill.; and by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 18, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, Wis.
