Megan D. Atkinson, 33, of Wyandotte, Mich., formerly of Norway, passed away, Monday, July, 14, 2014, in Wyandotte. She was born December 14, 1980, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of Dr. David (Cheryl) Atkinson. Megan grew up in Norway and graduated from Norway High School, Class of 1999. She went on to attend Michigan State University and later Wayne County Community College where she earned her degree in Medical Coding and Billing. Megan resided in Green Bay, Wis., where she worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and in 2008, relocated to Wyandotte. She loved animals and enjoyed horseback riding, scuba diving, skiing, and reading. Megan is survived by her parents Dr. David (Cheryl) Atkinson, Norway, Mich.; her partner and companion Josh Hoover, Wyandotte; two beautiful little boys, Brennen and Brody Hoover, who she loved with all of her heart; one brother Erik (fiancé, Danielle Tasker) Atkinson, St. Paul, Minn. and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Visitation will be Monday, July, 21, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Norway. Rev. Irene White will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway.
