MaryAnn E. Flanick, 40, of Norway, Mich., died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Dickinson County Hospital, Iron Mountain. She was born June 27, 1967, in Petoskey, Mich., daughter of Thomas and Lynn Flanick. MaryAnn grew up in Munising and graduated from Munising High School. She worked at the Chippewa Club for a year before moving to Marquette where she worked at the Steer & Stein. MaryAnn moved back to the area in 2005, and has lived in Norway since. MaryAnn enjoyed writing and was in the process of writing a book. She is survived by one son, Christopher Flanick, Norway; one brother, Thomas Flanick; two sisters, Heather Flanick, Dawn Flanick; two grandchildren, Makayla and Sierra.
