Mary L. Ziomek, 88, of Florence, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Golden Living Center, Florence. She was born February 14, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Liba. Mary grew up in Sobieski, Wis. She married Edward Ziomek in 1942. They resided in Illinois for many years before moving to Florence in the late 1960s. Mary enjoyed needle crafting, making fish lures, and especially spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by one son, Edward Ziomek, Florence. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and one sister, Rose Weatherwax. Private family services were held.
