Mary Frances Truog, 79, of Niagara, Wis., passed away peacefully Friday, August 24, 2007, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, Mich.
Mary was born October 22, 1927, in Niagara, daughter of the late John and Josephine (Drodz) Zawada. She married Bob Truog, he preceded her in death in 1988.
Survivors include her daughters Judy Colavecchi,Niagara; Charlene Schwamb, Milwaukee, Wis.; son Charles (Janie) Schwamb, Little Chute, Wis.; four grandchildren, Steve McCormick, Michael (Manette) McCormick, Nicole Schwamb, Terri Anne Schwamb; one great-grandchild, Colter McCormick; special caregivers, Dick and Carol Bennett, Niagara, and Ruth Joy Vanderwarf, Niagara.
Besides her parents and husband, Bob, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers Joe Zawada, Ed Zawada, and half-brother Albert Shand.
Mary will miss her black lab, Gentle Ginni, who she dearly loved.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29, 2007, from 9:30 to 10:00 am at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Sister Marla Clercx will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
