Mary Larson, 87, of Iron Mountain passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers, Mich. She was born December 16, 1920, in Iron Mountain daughter of the late Vincenzo and Laurina (Corsi) Spera. Mary grew up and attended school in Iron Mountain. She married Archie Larson on June 17, 1950, in Norway, Mich. They moved to the northside of Iron Mountain, where they still reside. Mary worked at Newberry's Department Store for many years. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her husband, Archie; one son, Daniel Larson, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Patti (David) Mckee, Kingsford, Mich.; one brother, Alfred (Dorothy) Spera, Iron Mountain; one sister, Flora DeRidder, Norway, Mich.; two grandchildren, Matt, Marc; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, James Spera; four sisters, Dora Pietrantonio, Ida DeBernardi, Alice Engibous, Helen Leonard; one nephew, Donald Pietrantonio; her mother and father-in-law, Alfred and Clara Larson; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Senger and Helen Stamoulis; six brothers-in-law, Ernest DeBernardi, Clayton Leonard, Patsy Pietrantonio, John Engibous,Charles DeRidder, and Eugene Senger. Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2008, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The funeral service will be Friday 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
