Iron Mountain:
Mary T. Koller, age 85, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005,
at her home.
She was born September 16, 1919, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Pipp) Schinderle. She married Fred Koller in June of 1936 in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death in 1969. Mary along with her husband Fred owned and operated the Last Chance Saloon on the northside of Iron Mountain for seventeen years. She later worked for the Chippewa Club in Iron Mountain for many years, retiring from there. She belonged to the Koller Birthday Club for many years. Her hobbies include cooking for her family, country music, and smear. She was also a Cubs Fan.
Survivors include two sons; Donald and Fred Koller both of Kingsford, two daughters Audrey (Richard) Dallapiazza of Spread Eagle and Virginia Koller of Iron Mountain, one sister Evelyn Schuman of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband Fred, she was preceded in death by five brothers; John, Frank, Mike, Tom, and Joseph Schinderle, and two sisters Lucille Bergman and Eva Thompson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2005, from 9:30-11:00a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be 11:00a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
