Obituary

Aurora-Mary E. Jafolla, 78, of Aurora, Wisc., passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Mich. She was born January 3, 1938 in Iron Mountain, to the late Alfred and Doris (Richard) Smith. Mary grew up and attended school in both Norway and Commonwealth. Mary was united in marriage to the late Oliver Jafolla. Following their marriage, they resided in Iron Mountain. After Oliver passed away Mary resided in Aurora. Mary worked at Hancock Wood Products for many years and also at DISCA which she really loved and enjoyed taking great care of her clients. She enjoyed playing piano, crocheting, gardening, feeding the birds, making the best cinnamon rolls ever, but her favorite was spoiling her grandbaby's and great grand baby's. Mary always looked for the good in everyone she met because she was a very loving person and mother, who will be missed by all. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Moore of Armstrong Creek, Wisc. and Joyce (Willard) Opolka of Aurora, Wisc.; two sons, Ronald (Dawn) Moore of Aurora, Wisc. and Thomas Moore of Cunard, Mich.; two sisters, Lillian (Oswald) Rhyner of Clinton, Wisc. and Christa (Robert) Fehrle of Felch, Mich.; four grandchildren, Tracie Moore, Travis Moore, Lee (Sarah) Opolka and Derrick (Joanna) Opolka; five great-grandchildren, Morgan, Benny, Ryan, Sylvia and Ella; numerous nieces and nephews; and by special friends, Vernell Markin and Vickie Kuzmic for everything they have done for her, showing her true friendship. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver; one son, Carl Henry Moore; four brothers, Gerald, Howard, Cecil and Peter Smith and one grandson, Ryan Moore. Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Family and friends will share memories, 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Wisc. The family would like to thank Dickinson County Hospital and Manor Care for all they have done throughout the years in getting Mary better, which enabled them to spend more time with her.
