Niagara: Mary C. Greenthal, age 99, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara. She was born May 22, 1906, in Pence, Wis., daughter of the late Felix and Marie (Vigor) Pretti. She married Walter Scott in 1929, and he preceded her in death in 1952. She married Edward Greenthal in 1958, and he preceded her in death in 1969. Mary grew up in the Hurley area. She lived in Milwaukee for over 55 years and moved to Niagara in 2001. She worked for dry cleaning companies in Milwaukee and Goldman Department Store in Milwaukee as a clerk. Mary loved dancing, shooting pool and her family. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Donald) Turini, and Kathleen Arnold, both of Norway, Maureen (Ralph) Kuenstler, Breitung Township, one step-daughter, Jacqueline Metzke Greendale, Wis.; four step-sons, Jeffrey (Sharon) Greenthal, Jackson, Wis., James (Orthas) Greenthal, Muskego, Wis., Jules (Bonnie) Greenthal, Oak Creek, Wis., Jerry (Kathy) Greenthal, New Berlin, Wis.; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husbands, Mary was preceded in death by one son, Walter Scott Jr.; four sisters, Della Pretti, Anna Kallas, Armeda Pellegrini, Josephine Ambrosia; three brothers, Louis Pretti, Charles Ziller, Joseph Ziller; and one step-son Jack Greenthal Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, 2006, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Homes Niagara Chapel. Prayers will be recited at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Memorial Mass will be at 12:00 noon at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. Father Michael Bentley will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Hurley, Wis.
