Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Campbell age 82, of Vulcan, Michigan passed away Saturday July 7, 2007 at Manorcare Health services in Kingsford, Mich. Mary was born on March 28, 1925 in Ludington, Michigan daughter of the late Earl and Teresa (Russell) Hartley. Mary grew up and attended school in Ludington. She married Fred Campbell on January 6, 1943 in Ludington. They resided in Ludington, Mich. from 1945 until 1957, at which time they moved to Vulcan. Mary was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Norway, the United Methodist Women and the church guild. She enjoyed many hobbies which included; gardening, flowers, sewing, knitting and crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by, her husband Fred, one son Fred G. (Jan) Campbell of Iron Mountain, Mich. Three daughters, Jan (Jim) O'Donnell of Chico, Calif., Judy Maynard of Vulcan, Mich. and Constance Campbell of Iron Mountain, Mich. Two brothers, Russell Hartley and Kenneth (Evelyn) Hartley all of Ludington, Mich. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Gordon Hartley; a sister, Delores (Hartley) Gowen and a granddaughter, Natalie Campbell. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 721 Norway St. , Norway, Mich. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 11:00a.m. at the church.
