Mary Josephine Andreini, formerly of Iron Mountain, Mich., went to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Eagle Cliff Manor, Billings, Mont.
She was born on November 9, 1910, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Sabatino and Margarita (Giovannini) Andreini.
Mary Jo attended Iron Mountain schools and Northern Michigan University. She was employed with the Michigan Corporation and Securities Commission, Lansing, Mich., for several years, the First of America Bank, Perina's, and worked as a nurse in Dr. John Schroeder's office for eighteen years. She spent much of her life caring for family, giving selflessly for many years to attend her dear sister Rica, and keeping her mother at home until age 94.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild, Paisano Club, and Business and Professional Women's Club. Mary Jo did modeling of clothes and hair in Milwaukee, Lansing, and in Iron Mountain. She volunteered for the American Red Cross, receiving a pin for her service.
In 1992, she moved to Billings, Mont., to live close to her niece Debra Siegel Dusenbury and her children Abby and Zachary, enjoying her last years in the Big Sky Country. She was independent until 2001, when she became a resident of Eagle Cliff Manor. Mary Jo was a favorite of the staff, was well cared for, and especially enjoyed the Rainbow Dance groups which came often to entertain the residents.
Mary Jo is survived by nieces, Barbara (Jerry) Waitrovich of Clayton, Calif., Mary (Dan) Elenz, Northbrook, Ill., Tina (John) Costello, Vernon Hills, Ill., Pamela (David) Johnson, Kenosha, Wis., Debra (Michael) Dusenbury, Billings, Mont.; and one nephew, Ted Andrini, Costa Mesa, Calif. She is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, and one great-great-niece, as well as many cousins.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rica Andreini, Josephine Andreini, and Ann (Morris) Siegel; and three brothers, Ernest, August (Anita), and Peter (Ora).
