Marvin J. Poikonen, 81, of Tipler, passed away, Monday, December 15, 2014, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. He was born July 11, 1933, in Tipler, son of the late Tauno and Alpha (Collins) Poikonen. Marvin married Susan Hoey in Kenosha, Wis; she preceded him in death on April 21, 2008. He worked in Kenosha for Wisconsin Electric as a Lineman for over 30 years. In 1995, Marvin retired and moved to Tipler. He enjoyed four wheeling and spending time with his friends. He is survived by one son, Todd Poikonen, Tipler; three grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Cody Eli Feest, Clancy Lu Emerick and a few great-grandchildren. In accordance with Marvin's wishes private family services were held. The family has chosen the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence to honor Marvin's Legacy of Life.
