Marvin James Cronick, 69, of Vulcan, Mich., passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers, Mich.
He was born August 6, 1940, in Faithorn, Mich., son of the late Wilfred and Bertha (Zahn) Cronick.
Marvin owned and operated Cronick Forest Products and drove Bus # 3 for Norway-Vulcan Area School. He enjoyed tagging along for weeks at a time in the semi with his cousin Raymond. Marvin especially enjoyed spending every chance he got with his grandchildren, doing everything he could for the both of them. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 340, Hermansville.
He is survived by one daughter, Rayne (Tray Kannich) Cazzola; one granddaughter, Makayla, who was the light of his life; and a grandson, Joey, all of Faithorn. Marvin's daughter and grandkids were his everything. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a dear friend, Paul, who has been there every step of the way.
Along with his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie; one brother, Richard; and one sister-in-law, Linda.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Riverside Cemetery, Faithorn. American Legion Post No. 340, Hermansville, will accord graveside military honors.
