Iron Mountain- Marlene M. Alessandrini, 85, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at Victorian Pines Estates, Iron Mountain, Mich., surrounded by her family and special friends.
She was born September 27, 1937, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late August and Marie (Franceschini) Moratti. Marlene was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and a graduate of Iron Mountain High School, class of 1957.
She married Raymond Alessandrini on January 3, 1959, at Immaculate Conception Church, Iron Mountain, Mich. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2002.
Marlene enjoyed weekly Bingo with her friends at the American Legion Hall and the Knights of Columbus Hall. She enjoyed road trips to the casino and shopping, and feeding the deer outside her house. Marlene especially loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Dale (Cathy) Alessandrini and Geno Alessandrini Sr.; two daughters, Anna (Dennis) Martin and Kindra Alessandrini; one brother, Shane (Andrea) Moratti; grandchildren, Mario (Lindsy) Alessandrini, Sarah (Mike) Glanville, Ashley (Lance) Kujala, Matthew (Cassie) Alessandrini, Geno (Sarah) Alessandrini Jr., Nicholas Wollum, Joseph (Brittany) Wollum, Anthony (Miranda) Alessandrini, Lindsey Martin, Jackie (Brad) Koski and Rhonda Brey; great-grandchildren, Kinslee Alessandrini, Mia Marie Kujala, Gia Glanville, Cedar Alessandrini, Jack Glanville, Asher Alessandrini, Natalie Kujala, Cadius Alessandrini, Braxton Wollum, Anthony Alessandrini Jr., Taylor Koski, Cale Koski, Lilah Thompson and Issac Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. Marlene further leaves behind special friends in her life, John and Kathy Wahoviak, Carla Tippett, Richard Wollum and many more.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Raymond, Marlene was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Paula Alessandrini, two brothers, August Moratti and Joseph Moratti; and one sister, Rose Marie Lundell.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. The memorial service will be Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Don Christy will officiate. Burial will take place at Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain, Mich.
