Florence:
Mark DeGrave age 51, a lifelong resident of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI.
He was born in Crystal Falls, Michigan, on July 13, 1953, the son of Lawrence and Betty (DeMark) De Grave. He grew up in Florence and attended school there. He then joined the U.S. Army and served in the States and also in Frankfort, Germany. He was employed in many different areas and worked as a Limo driver for many years in Green Bay. He enjoyed gardening and ice fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Betty of Florence, two sons, Lawrence "Larry" of Green Bay, and Landen of Spread Eagle; three daughters Tammy(Steve) Finendale of Kingsford, Nicole "Nicki" De Grave of Florence, Jessica "Jesse" De Grave of Mequon, WI, one brother Dennis (Kathy) De Grave of Florence, two grandchildren Travis Finendale and Ethan Haberkorn, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Lawrence, two brothers Michael and Larry Russell, and grandparents Resa DeMark, Clara Kempka, Henry and Margaret DeGrave.
Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2004, from 9:30 – 11:00a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Florence. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:00a.m. at the church. Father Michael Betley will be officiating. The American Legion of Florence will offer a Veterans service at graveside. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Commonwealth, WI.
