Marjorie A. Mallien, 88, of Iron Mountain, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013, at her home. She was born April 30, 1925, in Iron River, Mich., daughter of the late William and Mary (Hart) Hanson. Marjorie grew up in Iron River. She married Anthony Mallien on April 13, 1971, in Iron Mountain. Marjorie attended beauty school in Iron Mountain and worked as a beautician for many years at Golden Comb. She was also an instructor at James Town School of Cosmetology in Kingsford. Marjorie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and sewing. She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Mallien; one daughter, Casey Ann (Rueben) Gustafson, Iron Mountain; two brothers, Bill (Dolly) Hanson, Marinette, Wis., Frank (Kathy) Hanson, Southern Wisconsin; one sister, Mary (James) Mallien, Milwaukee, Wis.; seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas and Warren Peterson. Private family services are being held.
