Marjorie "Marge" Liebergen, of Niagara, Wis., went to join her husband on September 7, 2009, on her 80th birthday.
She was born on September 7, 1929, in Crystal Falls, Mich., daughter of the late Andrew and Elsie (Johnson) Skovera. She graduated from Crystal Falls High School, Class of 1947, and went to work as an accountant at the local grocery store.
Marge married Ed "Peeps"Liebergen on July 18, 1953, and they resided in Niagara their entire married life. She worked at the Niagara Area Credit Union from 1970, until her retirement in 1992. After retirement, Marge remained on the Board of Directors for several years.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. Marge was very involved in the activities of her family, attending everything from sporting events to dance recitals and school programs, sometimes getting to two or three events in a single evening. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, traveling, babysitting her grandkids, and reading, especially romance novels. Bowling and walking with her friends was her way to stay in shape.
Marge is survived by a daughter, Denise (Chuck) Smith, Iron Mountain; two sons, Dennis (Char) Liebergen, Dan (Jeanie) Liebergen, both of Niagara; one granddaughter, Bobbi Jean (Chris) Richtig, Quinnesec, Mich.; five grandsons, Bryan Smith, Negaunee, Mich., Matthew, Kyle, T.J., and Jason Liebergen, all of Niagara; three great-grandchildren, Courtney Rouse, Valerie and Gabe Richtig, all of Quinnesec; one brother, Andrew Skovera, Milwaukee, Wis., and his children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1999, and her son, David "Peeps" in 1998.
Marge's grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Bryan Smith, Matthew, T.J., Kyle and Jason Liebergen, and Chris Richtig.

Visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2009, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 11:00 a.m., at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
